Detailed Description

Extending more than 250 miles along the remote British Columbia coastline, the awe- inspiring Great Bear Rainforest has been fascinating visitors and locals alike for many years. The 21 million acre wilderness makes up over 25% of the world’s temperate rain forests.

This remote land, with 1,000 year old cedars and massive waterfalls falling through the glacier-cut fjords, is home to a thriving population of wildlife including: grizzly and black bears, mountain goats, Sitka dear, cougars, seals, sea lions, otters (river and sea), salmon, orcas, humpback and grey whales, along with the elusive spirit bear.

Stand up paddle boarding has become increasing popular way to explore the estuaries and waterways of the Great Bear Rainforest. It is easy to learn, efficient and tranquil. Our guide is fully certified to ensure the safest and fun stand up paddle board adventure possible.

During the spring, the hungry grizzlies feed on the sedge at the mouth of the estuaries. This provides our guests with an opportunity to observe them from a safe distance on their SUP. Guests will have a chance to get up close with massive waterfalls and have a full afternoon/evening of relaxing in the epic hotspings.

Other activities such as prawning, crabbing and fishing are available when conditions allow.

Enjoy your days exploring remote locations on your paddle board and nights relaxing aboard your comfortable, warm yacht while exchanging stories from the day. Enjoy fresh local cuisine prepared in a gourmet fashion and paired with B.C. wine and local craft beers.
