Great Bear Rainforest Detailed Description

Extending more than 250 miles along the remote British Columbia coastline, the awe- inspiring Great Bear Rainforest has been fascinating visitors and locals alike for many years. The 21 million acre wilderness makes up over 25% of the world’s temperate rain forests. This remote land, with 1,000 year old cedars and massive waterfalls falling through the glacier-cut fjords, is home to a thriving population of wildlife including: grizzly and black bears, mountain goats, Sitka dear, cougars, seals, sea lions, otters (river and sea), salmon, orcas, humpback and grey whales, along with the elusive spirit bear.

What better way to experience the natural beauty than paddling silently through estuaries, soaking in remote hot springs, crabbing and prawning for your fresh seafood dinner and spending your nights in comfort and luxury aboard our mother ship!

Our knowledgeable sea kayak guide is level 3 certified and will provide a safe and fun environment for you while paddling. Relax on the yacht in the evening and share stories and photos from the days adventure over a gourmet dinner prepared with fresh local seafood and paired with B.C. wine or craft beer.

Spring is the perfect time to see grizzlies as they are feeding on sedge at the mouth of the estuaries. Guests will have the opportunity to view the bears from a safe distance in their kayaks and take photos from the mothership.
